had this weird dream where i entered a portal to an “alternate universe” and this other place was fun but i noticed people were injured very easily and that the general environment was very “hazardous”, though everyone seemed (almost completely) impervious to dying or being fatally wounded. I suppose thats fine for them but I found it nerve wracking. Case and point i was at a party and we’re all doing “party stuff” with pizza and whatever and one of the doors to the house goes outside to a balcony and the other one is a ledge that drops people into this big mechanical blendery contraption. I didnt fall for it, but some of the other attendees kept purposely jumping into it like it was a ride. How the fuck am i suppose to enjoy my pizza and party stuff with that kind of debasement. I guess i got used to it but i got struck by a car or something and apparently i was the only one who cant just “walk it off” and i woke up. It was exciting throughout

the analogy of a kill-everything run to vriska fails because while it is something that is technically in-character for vriska, the context is out of character. because vriska’s quest is deliberately bare of NPCs and other sources of wisdom.
but the analogy works perfectly for eridan.
anyway megalovania doesn’t appear in remixes more commonly associated with vriska, and the flash in which it appears features jack, aradia, and vriska, with not a lot of thematic overlap between the two (three?) scenes. they were mostly placed together as a tone-balancer: showy (but not incredibly existentially threatening) destruction, followed by grand reveal of something victorious, followed by the first murder.
anyway, the vriska part of that flash isn’t even the good part anyway. i usually only watch the first half when i rewatch it tbh. the jack/aradia part is animated so amazingly and syncs with the song so well; the vriska part is alright but nothing special.
point is it’s not a vriska theme, and the tvtropes editor who claimed so needs to improve their homestuck analysis. (this is the part where you imagine me looking smug and pity me for being this mad about homestuck)
